On Christmas Day, the First Couple of America took the time to call active duty service men and women deployed from around the world to ask how they were doing and to thank them for what they beautifully do for the country.
President Joe Biden, with First Lady Jill Biden, spent Christmas day talking to some military men and women of the United States. The President took to Twitter to share what they did.
"This Christmas, Jill and I were honored to thank a few brave men and women in uniform for their sacrifices this time of year. They're away from their families to protect us. And they have the thanks of a grateful, indebted president," Biden captioned a photo of himself and Jill speaking on the phone.
Calling on behalf of the Americans
The First Lady posted the same photo on a separate Twitter post but shared a different message.
She greeted the service members stationed worldwide with a "very Merry Christmas" on behalf of all Americans and expressed her gratitude for all they do to keep the country and everyone in it safe.
The Bidens called Army members stationed in Panama City, Panama, Navy members deployed in the Arabian Sea, Marines in San Diego, California, Air Force members in Okinawa, Japan, Space Force members in Europe, and Coast Guard members in Alameda, California, confirmed the White House as reported by People.
It can be recalled that the First Couple also ushered in the Thanksgiving celebration by making calls to the country's service members to also thank them for their sacrifices and service. They spoke to service members deployed at sea, in Europe, and Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Spread a little kindness
The President and his wife carried on another tradition on Friday when they visited the Children's National Hospital to read stories to pediatric patients.
This was their second holiday visit since last year. The annual tradition is supposed to be done by the first ladies only, but President Biden has become the first sitting president to join his wife for the holiday visit, which he adopted last year, per the White House.
The first lady read "The Snowy Day" surrounded by Christmas trees and holiday decorations, while the President helped by holding up the book.
This is Joe Biden's second Christmas as President. According to the Press Herald, he encouraged national unity in a recorded address last week, calling out America's political divisions, declaring this holiday season can "drain the poison that has infected our politics and set us against one another."
