Twin sisters were born minutes apart on New Year's Eve of 2022 and New Year's Day of 2023.

They are fraternal twins, yet they will be celebrating their birthdays on different days and years.

Fox Station KDFW described the birth of Texas fraternal twins as a milestone for being born minutes apart.

Kali Jo and Cliff Scott welcomed daughter Annie Jo on December 31, 2022, at 11:55 P.M., making her the last baby born of the year at the Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Denton.

Just after the stroke of midnight, the parents welcomed twin daughter Effie Rose on January 1, 2023, at 12:01 A.M., becoming the hospital's first baby of the year.

They have what most twins don't have

The mother of the twins revealed that they joked about this particular incident, saying that it would be funny if each of the twins were born in different years "with the holiday and New Year's Eve over the weekend." Surprisingly, the joke became a reality.

She further said that she loved how everything went through and even described the experience as "hilarious" and "super fun," People reported.

The parents also love that their girls, though twins, each get their own day, which most twins do not get to have, telling them that each of them is special in their own ways.

"You always still want to make sure they have their own individual personality and know that they are special and unique. One will always get the glitter and confetti of New Year's Eve and one gets to kick it off with a brand-new year on New Year's Day," Kali Jo declared.

Excited about the adventure

Kali Jo was taken for a C-section on New Year's Eve, a week and a half earlier than the twins' due date. Fortunately, everything went well, as she described.

She took to Facebook and posted a series of photos of the twins and the entire family in the hospital, with a caption introducing Annie Jo and Effie Rose Scott to the world and announcing that the girls were born happy and healthy at 5.4 and 5.5 pounds, respectively.

She even added that as parents, they are "just so excited for this adventure!"

On the other hand, Texas Health Systems also posted a congratulatory message for the parents and the newborn twins on their Facebook account. A Melissa Brazell commented how cool it is that the twins will forever tell a great story about how they were born and their birthdays.

However, the few-minute difference could have big implications for a few things, like most youth sports are based around the kid's year of birth, which can complicate schedules.

Some financially-minded friends of the family have also reached out about its tax implications, stating that they would only get one tax deduction per year, which the Scotts do not mind.
