'Avatar: The Way of Water'
It seems like Kate was embodying her role in the "Avatar: The Way of Water" as a wife and a mother.
In the movie, Kate plays the role of Ronal, a free diver who is a member of the Metkayina water tribe and is married to the village chief.
Even though she is best known for her work in acting, the actress is also a proud mother of three children in real life.
According to Variety, another significant role Kate's character plays in the movie is being a soldier fighting against evil while also being a pregnant mother.
Rarely do movies and TV shows feature women fighting on the battlefield while pregnant. The movie director, James Cameron, came up with the idea to seek the perfect embodiment of women's empowerment.
He thought about the best representation of a woman that they, as men, cannot and will not be able to do. Cameron felt that Ronal's part in the movie was essential for on-screen representation.
He then decides that he wants the character to be a six-month-pregnant warrior in battle. Cameron added that pregnant women are capable of more than what our society recognizes them to be.
