'Avatar 2' Trailer & Plot: Director James Cameron Reveals Villain Plans, Stephen Lang To Return Like 'Darth Vader' [Details]

James Cameron will bring the audience to the world of Na'vi again in 2017. While "Avatar 2" is still over two years away, the hype about the anticipated film is growing.

Two weeks ago, fans were overjoyed when a concept art of "Avatar 2" leaks teasing the new features of a female Avatar. The said artwork which was captioned with "Avatar 2" went viral, according to International Business Times.

Unfortunately, to the dismay of many the photo which was allegedly posted by producer Jon Landau was bogus and fake. According to Deadline, the Twitter account was fake and it has been faking Landau for a while. Moreover, it's referring Landau in third person as in "he" instead of "I" in its tweets. Also, the photo posted was taken from "Avatar" in 2009.

According to Movie News Guide, the fake account was already suspended.

It's understandable how anxious fans are to learn every bit about the anticipated film. Good news, more reliable reports about "Avatar 2" are coming up.

In a separate report from Deadline, Cameron has confirmed that Stephen Lang aka Col. Miles Quaritch will be returning in "Avatar 2." In fact, the actor will be part of the next three films.

In the first "Avatar" Col. Quaritch died after Neytiri shot him with an arrow in his chest twice.

"Steven was so memorable in the first film, we're privileged to have him back," Cameron said. Cameron did not explain how they will bring Lang back, but stressed that the film is a science fiction story, hinting that everything is possible.

However, the screenwriter and director teases about Lang's character. "His character will evolve into really unexpected places across the arc of our new three-film saga. I really look forward to working with such a gifted actor, who's also become a good friend."

The report suggests that Lang will be the "Darth Vader" in the "Avatar series.

According to Cinema Blend, few people will be very happy with Lang's return in the blockbuster series. In fact, there were multiple tributes to Col. Quaritch online. Some "Avatar" fans think that Lang was the real hero in the film because he was there to protect a team of scientists and he gave his life to keep his troop safe.

These fans who believe in Col. Quaritch think it was Sam Worthington's character Jake Sully, who is the traitor because he failed to accomplish his mission. In fact, he chose to abandon his mission.

On the other hand, in an earlier report from Parent Herald, "Avatar 2" will feature the ocean ecosystem of Pandora. However, it's only part of the environment that fans will see as the film will not completely take place under water.

"Avatar 2" will be released on Dec. 25, 2017.
