'Tekken 7' Release Date: Title Available To Consoles In 2016; Kuma, Nina & Anna Return [Rumor Round Up]

Fans of the popular fighting video game series "Tekken" is looking forward to its next franchise. New reports claim that "Tekken 7" will be available on consoles next year.

According to Nseavoice, a photo of what appears to be the logo of "Tekken 7" leaked online in Japan suggesting that the developers are already working on a sequel for the title.

The report suggests that "Tekken" is among the longest fighting video game series and it fails to release pure new sequels in a number of years. However, despite this fact, "Tekken" is still considered an active name in the gaming tournaments.

In fact, this could have prompted Bandai Namco to develop "Tekken 7." Many are hoping that the latest title will come with an interesting plotline.

Meanwhile, "Tekken 7" will be bringing back Kuma, Nina and Anna, CrossMap has learned.

Kuma II the grown up cub of Kuma, is the pet bodyguard of Heihachi Mishima, the main antagonist in the game. However, there is more into that why the panda returns. The report suggests that he has unfinished business with his main rival, Paul Phoenix.

Meanwhile, the conflict between the two sisters Nina and Anna Williams will continue in the upcoming title. Nina just like Kuma has showed up on all six previous titles. However, Anna only showed up in five, she was not included in "Tekken 4."

Anna is the bodyguard of Kazuya Mishima and is currently at the top management of G corporation. On the other hand, Nina is a former assassin who was recruited by Jin Kazama to be his bodyguard and assistant in "Tekken Force" to achieve his dream of taking over Mishima Zaibatsu and the world, later on.

With the long-standing conflict between the Mishima family - Heihachi, Kazuya and Jin, it's pretty sure that their assistants will also be in the same rivalry.

As for "Tekken 7's" release date, according to Attack of the Fanboy, David Fraile, Marketing Manager of Bandai Namco Entertainment Spain announced that "Tekken 7" will be available on consoles in 2016. However, Fraile contacted the Spanish site Koi Nya to clear his statement, The Bit Bag has learned.

"I want to clarify my comments made during MGW: Tekken is one of the largest license of NAMCO BANDAI and obviously we are working on bringing content related license to the West. At the moment, we are trying to bring the arcade version of Tekken 7 in Madrid, Barcelona, and other Spanish cities."

It's not clear if Fraile retracts his claims, but with their aggressive promotion of their new fighters like the eskrima fighter from the Phiippines, Jose Rizal and the Arabian fighter Shaheen, "Tekken 7" could be released anytime soon. We hope so.
