Julia Fox recently admitted to still co-sleeping with her son, Valentino, who is only 2 years old. Some people expressed their disapproval after Fox recently showed that her space is also her son's space.

The infamous "Uncut Gems" muse stated that she tried her best to make her son's room very enticing. She decorated her with the best of her ability and even took the extra mile

Julia Fox Talks About Co-Sleeping With Son

According to Page Six, the celebrity recently uploaded a new video to her TikTok account. Fox showed her millions of followers on the platform the reality of what it is like to be a parent.

The TikTok video revealed that Fox moved her bed to her living room. She revealed that she decided to transform her bedroom into her son's own extended playroom.

The bedroom, now turned into a playroom for Valentino, looks spacious enough as it opens up to the living room, with his toys sprawled all over the floor.

As she directed attention to her bed, she then stated that her 2-year-old son only wanted to be in her mother's room.

She then showed a long hallway that leads up to his son's room. When he opened it, it revealed Valentino's bedroom, painted white, with a bunk bed at the top and a desk below filled with more toys.

Fox said she tried to make an effort to make his son's room really cute, and it shows, from the toys, the books, and the cute bunk bed. Unfortunately, Valentino does not sleep there.

After realizing that she had admitted to co-sleeping with her own 2-year-old son, the actress defended their sleeping arrangement, saying, "Yeah, we're co-sleepers," and adding, "Sue me; I don't care."

Fox is not new to this criticism as she has experienced numerous backlash in the past as a Hollywood celebrity, an actress, and mother.

The mother has seen and read mean things about her in the media as she famously dated the rapper Kanye West for a couple of months after his divorce from his previous wife, Kim Kardashian, as per The News.

She also set a trend on TikTok last year with her infamous interview on the Spotify-exclusive podcast "Call Her Daddy" by Alex Cooper.

Other people on certain social media platforms can be too harsh of a critic especially to mothers. Fox is no exception from this backlash, as he has been very transparent about being a present mother to her son Valentino.

Fox' impromptu apartment tour in New York City showed not just personal bedrooms but also her living room, bathroom, kitchen, and belongings that she holds dear to her heart, such as two of her friends' ashes.

Benefits of Co-Sleeping

Fox's decision to co-parent may raise eyebrows to other parents, but the actress seems to be enjoying all her time with her son.

The beliefs and decisions about children's sleep are more a reflection of the culture that a person lives in than the scientific evidence for what's best for children.

In some cultures, co-sleeping with a child is normal, while in other foreign countries, with a totally different culture, co-sleeping can often be seen as bad.

According to Developmental Science, a child may more easily keep their body temperature steady by being in close proximity to their parent's body.

Children benefit from more regular breathing, more efficient use of energy, quicker growth, and less stress when they are able to physically interact with their parents while sleeping in close proximity.

Babies who are not always breastfed, such as those who are adopted, will, of course, also naturally get the benefits of such intimate contact, which include a multitude of additional advantages.
