"Twilight" star Robert Pattinson's fiancé, FKA Twigs, doesn't look anything like someone who longs for the traditional, but the music artist said that she's very much a regular person who is ready to get married and have kids.
FKA Twigs graces the cover and feature of Paper Magazine for its October 2015 issue, and the British singer revealed in the interview that she is "quite traditional."
"I grew up in Gloucestershire, and there's a certain format that people fit into. And I'm actually quite happy with that format. I'm quite happy to say, "Go to school, work hard on your GCSEs, do your A-Levels, get married, have children. Send your kids to a nice school. Make sure you're in the right catchment area," said Twigs.
She went on to say that she wants the same traditional things for her children. "I want to work hard, and I want to have a nice life, and when I have kids, I want to be able to buy a house. It's still the same values."
Her statement surprised the interviewer who raised the fact that her image as a music idol is radical. Twigs clarified that she's not a "heavy person" and that her career is something she's doing for her future kids and not for the fans who follow her music.
In fact, Twigs doesn't seem to get the idea of fans crowding for her. She admitted she finds this uncomfortable but knows that she has to improve on this, according to Daily Mail. She also understands that her followers are quite different from other stars' followers and she's not the least bit bothered by her critics either.
"But I don't even like calling fans 'fans.' It's like, [pulls face] Ugh, fans. [laughs] It's just people that like your music," she said, according to The Boom Box.
Twigs became engaged to Pattinson in April of this year, but according to Entertainment Weekly, their wedding plans are on hold. However, this doesn't mean that the couple have broken up. "They haven't drifted apart [despite claims], but they haven't spoken as much lately because of his filming schedule," said a source to the news outlet.
The source also said that there will be no wedding this year, but it's something that the couple expected. "There isn't a rush to get married. Fall plans turned into winter plans and now there are no specific plans, but they still plan on getting married."
