A family from Illinois is creating kid-friendly contents that are so relatable, other parents and families cannot help but laugh.

Ali Younes and wife Zeze know how parents can get so worried about what their kids see on social media these days. Thus, with their three kids, they are determined to replace those anxieties with laughter and good vibes as they create funny and relatable family-friendly contents for all ages.

One of the recent videos they posted was "Bedtime Excuses," which showed the lengths children will go to just to avoid going to bed at night.

The video has since gone viral with 1.6 million views and more than 73,000 likes, with parents saying they go through the same thing every night.

The humor in reality

The three Younes children namely Hussein, 9, Celia, 7, and Mousa, 4, can be seen on the viral video making tons of excuses just to escape bedtime. The excuses range from being thirsty and grabbing water bottles to steaming socks, organizing the attic, preparing for the upcoming baby, cleaning the family's vehicle, and finishing the laundry.

It was a two-minute video that struck a chord with parents and families. The resemblance to daily life makes it more hilarious than it is. A proof that people are attracted to content with real-life family situations but with comedy and humor as twists "because they go through the same scenarios on a daily basis," Ali declared.

The Younes, who are expecting their fourth child, shared to Fox News the three reasons behind the success of their content. One is the care they put into producing these videos. Second is that the entire family, especially the kids, are having so much fun doing the videos that they cannot get enough of watching them themselves. The third reason is that the content is a family affair, to which parents and children can enjoy watching and laughing at the videos together as a family.

"We hope to continue creating joyous and funny memories through our family content and sharing it with the world. You can never go wrong doing what you love with the people you love," Ali stated.

The family is committed to staying "consistent" with their family-friendly contents, creating three to five videos weekly.

How to win the bedtime battles

Though the video was hilarious and parents from all over the world were commenting that they were laughing hard because they go through the exact scenario at home, it cannot be denied that making the kids go to sleep at night is a challenge.

Empowering Parents described the fights over bedtime as "one of the biggest power struggles" parents will ever have with their children, whether they are still five or already in their teen years. This is because most kids do not want to go to bed at night because they are afraid they will miss out on something while sleeping.

Expert and author James Lehman, MSW, encourages parents to not fight with the kids, as this will only worsen matters. Thus, he suggested ways to win the bedtime battle against the children.

  1. Have a quiet time or free time before bedtime.
  2. Have the kids set their own alarm clock so they can take responsibility.
  3. Use soft lights 30 minutes before bedtime.
  4. Take the electronics and mobile devices out of the bedroom.
  5. Check in on the kids before lights out.
  6. Use a star chart to get toddlers focused on good nighttime behavior.
  7. For tees, present and discuss the consequences.
