The Progressive representative denied that lawmakers aim to intercept parents' involvement in their children's education.

Amid parents' accusations that schools withheld information about their children or the curriculum, Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn, is putting an end to the claim that the government and school institutions are trying to keep parents "in the dark" about essential information regarding their kids.

"I am not aware of... any decisions that are being made by lawmakers here in Congress, by local lawmakers, saying we do not want parents' input, we not want parents' involvement, we don't want parents' engagement in our schools. So I just hope that we put this argument, that is not based on the actual facts that are taking place in our communities, to be put to rest," Omar declared Wednesday during the House Education and the Workforce Committee, Fox News reported.

But parents have documented proof

However, many parents had documented proof of instances where their children's school had kept from them gender identity information or particulars about explicit and sensitive instruction materials.

Just recently, school districts in Idaho were being instructed to "keep parents in the dark" by preventing teachers and staff from informing parents about students' names and gender transition unless the latter consented to the disclosure.

This is a directive from the Idaho School Boards Association (ISBA) as laid out on their school district policies and email correspondence obtained by Parents Defending Education (PDE) through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA).

The President of "Parents Defending Education," Nicole Neily, told Fox News Digital that Idaho's school district policies were "further proof that living in a 'red' state doesn't protect families from these issues in school." What's worse, she added, is that the people and organizations like the school board administration that families have trusted for years are part of the problem and are looking at them as the enemy.

The government, school administration can't escape gathered evidence

Further, just a month ago, California mom, Aurora Regino, sued Chico Unified School District in Northern California to seek a permanent mandate against its "Parental Secrecy Policy."

She said she was "appalled" when she discovered that the school district allegedly transitioned her 11-year-old daughter without her knowledge.

The child was reportedly struggling because of a loss of a family member. She opened up to the school's guidance counselor, and the latter allegedly affirmed to take on a male identity after the child once expressed that she felt like a male. Despite her child wanting to inform her mother about what they talked about, the counselor "dismissed her request" and suggested coming out to other people first.

Another documented proof came weeks ago when St. Louis Children's Hospital advised Parkway Schools in St. Louis County that school staff should not be required to disclose to parents that their children are doing chest-binding practices. This happened after a student counselor from the school asked for help from the Washington University Transgender Center at St. Louis Children's Hospital about the healthy procedures of chest binding.

In a public records request obtained once again by PDE, the counselor emailed experts at the Transgender Center, questioning if school staff "had to" inform parents if chest-binding becomes a health issue.

Lastly, President Joe Biden proposed expansion to Title IX to include protections against sex-based discrimination, including gender identity. Critics said that under the expansion, schools would not have to inform parents before transitioning their kids' gender.

In a White House statement during the 50th anniversary of the Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 last year, Biden proudly stated that America is all about possibilities, according to NPR.
