The leader of pro-Nazi homeschooling, Logan Lawrence, and his wife had been forced to resign from their family business.
Logan Lawrence, the leader of an Ohio homeschool that teaches racist, white supremacist, and pro-Nazi lessons, had been ousted from their insurance business.
After learning that Logan Lawrence and his wife were engaging in these ideologies, the family-run business, The Lawrence Insurance Agency, stated they deny any relation to both of these people.
Leader of pro-Nazi homeschooling ousted from the family business
According to CNN, the Lawrence Insurance Agency, located in Upper Sandusky, Ohio, issued a statement in response to the recent revelations about the teachings and messages of a social media-based homeschooling network.
The statement expressed the agency's condemnation of the disturbing and secretive behavior that was brought to light.
As a result of the situation, Logan Lawrence is no longer employed by the Lawrence Insurance Agency in any capacity.
The statement emphasized that the views and ideologies expressed by Logan and his wife are not representative of the values held by the agency.
The Lawrence family, including Logan's brother Jordan, was reportedly unaware of the lessons being posted until recently and was shocked by the news.
As reported by Albany Herald, Jordan Lawrence spoke out, stating that his family are good people and that the ideology Logan and his wife expressed is not reflective of who they are.
According to a source close to the Lawrence family, this situation has brought a lot of tears and concern for the children involved.
They have yet to respond despite attempts to reach Logan and Katja Lawrence for comment.
Homeschool teaching racist, white supremacist, pro-Nazi lessons
The Ohio Department of Education received a tip from the Anonymous Comrades Collective, an anti-fascist research group, about a homeschool teaching pro-Nazi, white supremacist, and racist lessons to children.
The group uncovered that the individuals behind this homeschool, known as Dissident Homeschool, were named Katja and Logan Lawrence, who went by the names Mr. and Mrs. Saxon in their homeschool community.
According to HuffPost, a couple identifying themselves as "Mr. and Mrs. Saxon" made an appearance on the "Achtung Amerikaner" podcast on November 5, 2021, to promote a new social media platform intended to support American parents who choose to homeschool their children.
Mrs. Saxon stated on the podcast that they were deeply committed to ensuring their child became a wonderful Nazi through the Dissident Homeschool system.
She added that they created the education system because they could not find a homeschool that offered the same kind of teaching that they wanted for their children.
The Dangers of teaching Nazi ideologies, white supremacists, racism
Teaching young children racism, white supremacism, and pro-Nazi lessons can profoundly impact their beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors toward other people.
Children at a young age are highly impressionable, and the ideas and values they are exposed to during this time can shape their perceptions and attitudes toward different races and cultures.
Such teachings can lead to the development of discriminatory attitudes and beliefs, which can harm the individual child and society as a whole.
Children taught these kinds of lessons might grow up to view certain races or groups of people as inferior or superior, leading to social division and discrimination.
In short, teaching young children racism, white supremacism, and pro-Nazi lessons can have severe and long-lasting consequences for both the individual child and society, affecting their beliefs, attitudes, and relationships with others.
