The wife of the NRL star shared that they are the kind of parents who do not buy their kids gifts. They instead place the money in each girl's savings bank account for their future.

Tahlia Giumelli, model and wife of NRL player Tom Burgess, took to Instagram to share her "clever money savvy parenting advice," the Daily Mail reported.

The 30-year-old mom of two admitted that she does not buy toys and gifts for the girls.

"When the girls were born, I set up bank accounts for them. We put money in them instead of buying lots of birthday/Christmas gifts, and if family or friends want to get the kids something, we ask they put money in their account. Our girls are spoilt with toys, so they don't need more," Giumelli explained.

She further shared that she has also decided to invest the girls' money in the bank that it may earn instead.

Huge surprise gift when the kids are 25

Burgess and Giumelli share two daughters - four-year-old Sophie, whom she described as the "calm and quiet one," in an Instagram post, and two-year-old Elodie, who is the opposite of her sister as she is this "big ball of wild energy."

She added that the bank savings would be untouched until the girls' 25th birthdays.

The mom might be big now on not giving gifts, but she is saving for a vast, precious gift they could give their daughters in the future. She hopes that the money will help them pay for their education, travel, car or can be a deposit to their dream home.

She shared that the kids do not know about the bank accounts, nor will they know soon, as she would not want them just sitting around, thinking and depending on the money they will have when they turn 25. She plans to give them the savings as a little surprise while they work hard for their lives and future.

Kids were part of their parent's wedding day

The English rugby star and social media influencer got married in January of last year after having their wedding moved twice due to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to News.com.

Nonetheless, they realized that the delay was all for the better because when they finally walked down the aisle and said, "I do," their two daughters were there to see and hear.

Giumelli expressed that she hopes that Sophie and Elodie will remember that special day with much endearment.

Their daughters may not understand yet what took place, but she believes they will look back at the moments and realize how special it is that they were able to be there for mom and dad and be a part of their parent's commitment to a lifetime of love.
