Prince Harry and Meghan Markle demand a few things for their attendance at King Charles III's coronation.

The preparations for the upcoming coronation of King Charles III could potentially be in turmoil as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's "demands" have yet to be addressed.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly refuse to confirm their attendance at the historic event unless their requests are met.

This has led to tense negotiations between the couple and the Royal Family, with claims that chaos could ensue if their demands are not met.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's demands

Express reported that negotiations have been ongoing regarding the couple's role in the celebrations.

One of the main issues is reportedly how their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will be included in the proceedings.

The insider clarified that Archie and Lilibet were not expected to be present at the coronation, but the couple is pushing for their inclusion with the rest of the family at the palace later in the day.

Additionally, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have also expressed their desire to be allowed to have a spot on the Buckingham Palace balcony alongside the working royals during the procession.

The insider said the couple wanted recognition for Archie's birthday, which falls on the same day as the Coronation. This could be as simple as a mention of "happy birthday" during a lunch or drinks reception.

Despite confirming they received an invitation to the coronation, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have yet to accept it.

According to the Daily Record, the couple's failure to accept the invitation until their demands are met could lead to chaos. The insider added that the Palace is doing everything in its power to prevent this from happening.

The source also revealed that negotiations must be finalized soon as they cannot go right up to the wire.

There could be a stalemate in negotiations, leading Prince Harry and Meghan Markle not to attend the coronation. However, the palace is reportedly making every effort to prevent this outcome.

The royal children's attendance at the coronation

While negotiations continue, the New York Post reports that recently leaked plans suggest that Prince William and Kate Middleton's three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, will participate in the coronation ceremony of King Charles III.

According to the plans, the children will ride in a carriage behind a Gold State Coach, transporting the newly-crowned King and Queen.

This news adds to the ongoing drama within the royal family, which has been fraught with tension since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle resigned as senior members of the royal family in 2020.

The apparent disagreement between the Sussexes and the rest of the family regarding their attendance at the coronation is just the latest example of the discord.

Furthermore, it remains to be seen whether their demands will be met and if they will ultimately attend the historic event.
