The real estate mogul has big shoes only he can fill when he committed early this year to help needy kids by providing them with a million worth of shoes.
It has only been the third month of the year, yet Patrick Carroll, the self-made business mogul, CEO, and founder of Carroll, has already donated sneakers worth $300,000 in Miami, Tampa, and Atlanta.
"I started my company in Atlanta, so to be here at the Boys & Girls Club speaking to the kids about the power of entrepreneurship means so much to me. I want them to know, if I can do it, anybody can... It's incredible to see the looks on these kid's faces when we pull up in that truck," the CEO told People Thursday in his third "Kicks for Kidz" event, where he brought 600 pairs of shoes worth $100,000 to the children of Boys & Girls Club of Metro Atlanta.
Importance of having the right pair of sneakers
The father of three partnered with friend and famed sneaker aficionado Ben Kickz, who is also known as the Sneaker Don. The latter helps him fill his trucks with high-end sneakers for the children.
Carroll's chosen cities where he drops off shoes for underprivileged kids are not random but cities close to his heart, People reported.
It was in Atlanta where he started his now billion-dollar company, and it was in Tampa where he grew up and played basketball at the local Boys & Girls Club location.
He expressed how he easily relates to the kids' big smiles and happiness when they receive their free pair of branded sneakers. He further shared that he knows well and by experience "how aspirational having the right pair of sneakers can be to a kid in need."
More children will be receiving shoes this year and beyond.
According to In Touch, the CEO donates millions to kids' causes every year, and not only does he bring free shoes or donate money, but he also tags along his celebrity friends at his charity events.
In his event in Miami, Phaedra Parks of the Housewives franchise, Captain Lee of Below Deck, and former pro-wrestler Dean 'Mojo' Muhtadi supported and handed out sneakers to excited children. The Selling Tampa crew dropped by to lend a hand in Carroll's Tampa event.
His $1M distribution tour's next leg is yet to be announced, but he has already expressed his desire to help more children now that he is 30 percent on the way to his goal.
As if his donation to the kids is not enough, the real estate mogul volunteered to sponsor the Model Volleyball earlier this month.
Model Volleyball is an organization that supports the local community. Part of their upcoming event proceeds will be going to the Angel Watching Over Me (AWOM), a foundation that aims to build and offer a "safe space" for young girls in middle school.
