Jessie James Decker, the sister and husband of the pregnant mom took to social media to speak out in her defense after the airline left her to clean her kids' mess on the plane aisle.

Decker is calling out United Airlines about the way its flight attendant and pilot "humiliated" her pregnant sister Sydney Rae Bass on a recent flight that she took alone with her two daughters, five-year-old Brooklyn Rae, and two-year-old Blaire.

In a since-expired Instagram story the 34-year-old country singer posted Sunday, she voiced her frustration, narrating how her five-month, high-risk pregnant sister was asked by the airlines' flight attendant to clean the popcorn in the aisle that Blaire "accidentally spilled," People reported.

"Blaire accidentally spilled some popcorn in the aisle, and the flight attendant came up to Sydney with a trash bag and a wet wipe, telling her the captain wants Syd to clean up every drop," Decker revealed.

She continues stating, "My poor sister is on her hands and knees, crying in the aisle, completely humiliated and exhausted, with her children while everyone else watched. Way to go, United."

Popcorn a Safety Hazard on Plane

When Decker asked where the popcorn came from, Sydney told her that the airline gave the kids the popcorn. The mom of three herself then stated, "If popcorn is a hazard, why are they giving it on planes?"

She further revealed that the flight attendant informed her sister that if the popcorn were left on the aisle floor, it would present a "safety hazard."

People magazine tried to reach out to United Airlines for comments yet received no reply as to the time of writing.

Sydney's husband and Toronto Blue Jays' pitcher Anthony Bass also took to Twitter Sunday to talk about the incident. He posted a photo of her two daughters seated on the plane, busy playing with their gadgets, and tweeted, "The flight attendant @united just made my 22-week pregnant wife traveling with a 5-year-old and 2-year-old get on her hands and knees to pick up the popcorn mess by my youngest daughter. Are you kidding me?!?!"

Public Thoughts Are Divided

United Airlines replied to Anthony's tweet and stated they "certainly understand" his concern. They asked to DM Sydney's confirmation number and any additional information regarding the incident, according to E! News.

People on Twitter were divided and responded with mixed thoughts and comments.

One group stated that it was Sydney's responsibility to clean her kids' mess, whether she was pregnant or not, while another group sympathized with the pregnant mom and insisted that the airline should have just extended their customer service and assisted in cleaning up.

"This does feel wrong. No one ever expects a family to clean the floor in a restaurant when kids make a mess. This is a far more expensive service, and it seems they should be vacuuming the floor between flights at a bare minimum anyway," one commenter expressed.

On the other hand, another wrote, "Commercial airlines are not your children's playground. Pick it up and take responsibility for your kids."

After some heated argument on Twitter, with people calling his tweet "most pretentious, arrogant, self-absorbed," Anthony later confirmed that the airline and the family are currently working out a resolution.
