In a heart-wrenching tragedy, a powerful tornado tore through the city of Perryton in the Texas Panhandle, leaving a trail of destruction and claiming the lives of three individuals. Among the victims was Becky Randall, a woman whose unwavering dedication to her community earned her the endearing title of "angel on earth."

Becky Randall, a lifelong resident of Perryton, was identified as one of the three casualties by the Ochiltree County Sheriff's Office following the catastrophic tornado that struck the town on Thursday. Her daughter-in-law, Randi Cunningham, spoke fondly of Randall, emphasizing her profound love for Perryton and its people.

"She lived for this town and the people in this town," Cunningham tearfully shared with NBC News, reflecting on Randall's unwavering commitment to the community she held dear.

According to NBC, the devastating tornado also claimed the life of 11-year-old Matthew Ramirez, who tragically found himself in his family's trailer when the destructive winds struck. Another victim, Cindy Bransgrove, 67, lost her life at a food bank during the chaotic events.

The Ochiltree County Sheriff's Office confirmed their identities, adding to the profound grief and sorrow gripping Perryton.

Remembering Becky Randall: An 'Angel on Earth' Who Lived for Her Town

Becky Randall, aged 66 according to available records, tragically met her untimely demise in the very place she spent most of her days-the printing shop she owned and operated. Her strong faith and deep involvement in the church made her a respected and cherished member of the community.

"That's how everybody knew her," Cunningham, 38, shared. "She was big into faith and God and church, and so that was her life."

However, her four grandchildren affectionately referred to Randall as "booger" inside of her house. Her infectious laughter and boundless joy brightened the lives of those around her, and she possessed an uncanny ability to anticipate and fulfill the needs of others.

"She knew anything I needed before I needed it," Cunningham said, her voice filled with emotion. "She was our world."

The loss of Becky Randall reverberated deeply throughout the community, leaving an indelible impact on all who knew her. James Myers, a 25-year-old high school teacher in Perryton, described the profound effect Randall had on the lives of students and community members alike. "She's just a wonderful person," Myers shared.

"For kids to come and tell their teachers that this is affecting me, it means that someone was a remarkable person."

As rescue teams tirelessly combed through the wreckage, the names of the victims became known, and more than 50 individuals received medical treatment at Ochiltree General Hospital in Perryton.

According to NY Times, the tornado inflicted severe damage, particularly on mobile homes and businesses, leaving a stark reminder of the tornado's relentless power.

Survivors, including James Myers, recounted the suddenness of the tornado's assault, which struck with little warning. Myers described the chilling experience of witnessing what appeared to be two tornadoes simultaneously descending upon the town, leaving no time for the sounding of emergency sirens. The twin twisters tore through Main Street, leaving behind a trail of devastation and obliterating both residential and commercial buildings.

"The majority of all the damage came from one of the tornadoes going down Main Street," Myers explained. "It tore up both residential and commercial buildings. I went down there myself to check it out. It's just obliterated."

The aftermath of the tornado presented a scene of chaos and despair, with debris scattered throughout the streets. Telephone poles, electric wires, and shattered air conditioning units dangled precariously from damaged structures. Power outages plagued the town, with officials estimating a two-week timeline for restoration.

As Perryton embarks on the challenging journey of recovery, the memory of Becky Randall, the devoted "angel on earth," and Matthew Ramirez's young life cut short serve as poignant reminders of the devastating impact of natural disasters.

The community mourns the loss of these beloved individuals while rallying together to support and rebuild, determined to emerge stronger from the wreckage left behind by the unforgiving tornado. The road to healing will be arduous, but the resilient spirit of Perryton shines through as neighbors unite to overcome adversity and restore hope to their shattered community.
