Good news for "X-Men: Apocalypse" fans, director Bryan Singer has revealed another crucial information about the film. For those wondering how much time of yours the anticipated film will consume, it will take over two hours, that's for sure.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" is the culmination of two trilogies that began with 2000's "X-Men" thus, it might need more screen time. Singer teased a longer runtime for the upcoming flick during the San Pedro International Film Festival, he also announced that a spoiler trailer will be unveiled in the coming months, Entertainment Weekly has learned.
"I think it's gonna be a longer X-Men movie," The MovieReport.com reports. "The X-Men movies, I usually I keep under two hours, but this one I may actually let be a longer movie because it's sort of a wrap-up of six movies."
Singer stressed that "X-Men: Apocalypse" will wrap-up, "X-Men 1," "X-Men 2," "X-Men 3," "X-Men: First Class," "X-Men: Days of Future" and a homage at the end scene.
As for the upcoming trailer, Singer hinted that that it's gonna be a spoiler because it will showcase a particular scene in the movie.
"It's gonna get spoiled because they decided to use it in the trailer which comes out in, like, six months, but it's a really cool trailer," Singer added. "But it's kind of a wrap up of six movies. So, it might run a little bit long, but it's not boring."
Singer did not just blow the fans away with those information. He shared a particular teaser about Magneto's fate. Michael Fassbender reprises his role for Magneto and according to the director, there will be an "emotional" scene from the actor.
They were at the end of the scene when Fassbender requested Singer not to call cut when the scene was over and the actor just continued which made the director cry in his tent.
"It's a heartbreaking scene, not a typical comic book movie scene at all, so let's hope it makes the cut. But after he did it, I went up to him, hugged him and said, 'Thank you, Michael, for that gift," Singer said.
The director asked Fassbender to do the scene again and Singer was amazed at how good the actor is. "And he did it, and f-ing rocked it again...with full emotion."
In an earlier report from Parent Herald, it was learned that Magnet joined Apocalypse's four horsemen after being broken hearted. The superhero with magnet-manipulating skills was trying to live a normal life, he fell in love but the relationship did not work. He was at his lowest point when the titular villain recruited him.
"X-Men: Apocalypse" premieres on May 27, 2016.
