Pippa Middleton, Nick Jackson Split: The Royal Family Meddling? Kate Middletton's Brother-in-Law Needed Queen Elizabeth's Approval [Rumors]

It was not a happy ending for Pippa Middleton and Nico Jackson. The couple who dated for three years has finally called it quits. There were reports claiming that the long-distance relationship did not work, but there's also a speculation that the royal family is meddling with the split.

"It was mostly due to geographical issues," a source told US Weekly. "They were rarely together since his move [to Switzerland] and it just caused too much strain on their relationship. They still love and respect each other."

Another source told Entertainment Tonight that the 32-year-old socialite and Jackson, 37, ended their romance two weeks ago. In fact, Pippa was spotted spending a night at the house of her ex-boyfriend, James Matthews, last week.

The report suggests that it was not the first time for the sister of the Duchess of Cambridge to be seen with Matthews recently. Last August, she was with Matthews and her parents Carole and Michael Middleton in St. Barts at Matthew's family luxury resort.

However, despite spending time together, sources said that the ex-couple is not getting back together.

It might sound absurd to involve Queen Elizabeth with Pippa's affairs, but there are rumors that Kate Middleton's future brother-in-law needed the Royal's approval.

"If Pippa ever has any hope of having a husband and family she needs to toe the Royal line - dating and marrying whomever Queen Elizabeth approves," Celeb Dirty Laundry reports.

According to the report, Kate wanted her sister, Pippa, to marry Prince Harry but that would be unlikely for her majesty to allow another Middleton in the inner circle of the Royal family.

So, who are Pippa's suitors that would likely get Queen Elizabeth's approval? The report suggests that Matthews is a possible candidate. Matthews and Pippa briefly dated in 2012 before she hooked up with Jackson.

Moreover, the report claims that Pippa's ex-fiance and former cricket player turned financier Alex Louden is also back in Pippa's life. The report suggests that with Pippa's old beaus returning, that is perhaps they are on Queen Elizabeth's list of acceptable suitors.

However, it is still unlikely for Kate Middleton's sister to reconcile with Louden after he dumped her. According to Mail Online, the ex-lovers have different perspectives when it comes to spotlight.

Pippa is always invited to every event in town, but Alex comes from a well-to-do and discreet family who do not enjoy the spotlight. He hated being followed by paparazzi and has no time for celebrity. Moreover, Alex's parents do not think Pippa is a wife material.
