"Once Upon A Time" season 5 will be showing fans a lot of surprises other than Emma's struggle to free herself from the Dark One.
According to a new report, "Once Upon A Time" season 5 will bring the audience to a new perspective about Hook's past. It will introduce Hook's father in the popular ABC drama series in an episode focusing on Colin O'Donoghue's alter ego and Lana Parilla's Evil Queen, TVLine has learned.
"We're going to see an adventure with Hook and the Evil Queen," executive-producer Adam Horowitz teases fans on what to expect in the upcoming episodes.
The report suggests that Hook's father has not been casted yet, but the new character will be featured in flashbacks examining Hook's childhood. "We'll see Hook as a little boy," executive-producer Eddy Kitsis, added.
Meanwhile, speaking of childhood and youngsters, Horowitz and Kitsis were also asked how they would deal with Emilie de Ravin's real-life pregnancy. De Ravin plays Belle in the hit series.
The executive-producers revealed that they will just decide on it on the latter half of the season. However, both promised that no baby will be delivered. Does this suggests that Belle will not be pregnant? We will see.
"We're very, very happy for Emilie, and the only thing we can say is that Eddy and I promise not to deliver the baby," disclosed Horowitz.
As for Belle, the rose already revealed to her that Rumple is awake from his coma. In a separate report from TVLine, she arrived at his bedside, but he was nowhere to be found. Kitsis revealed that Belle will definitely be searching for him.
"She knows he's been taken, she thinks Emma is behind it, and she's going to go look for him.... Belle gets really strong this year," Kitsis teases.
"Belle is activated now. She knows he's awake and she's determined to find out what happened," Horowitz added.
Rumple has a clean heart already and he is very helpless now. According to Kitsis, the character has no magic anymore, but he carries with him the wisdom he gained in his experiences." At the same time, he still probably wants to run rather than fight," revealed the executive-producers.
Meanwhile, according to Comicbook.com, ABC has already released the first look for next Sunday's episode of "Once Upon A Time" season 5. The trailer features an unlikely team-up of Robin Hood (Sean Maguire), Regina (Lana Parilla) and Hook (Colin O'Donoghue).
The short clip comes with the following description, "The Broken Kingdom" - It's the one possession that can defeat the darkness - but it stands between them and saving their daughter.
"The Broken Kingdom" episode airs on Oct.18. "Once Upon A Time" airs every Sunday 8 p.m. ET on ABC.
