After the success of "Jurassic World," fans are very excited to watch its sequel. New reports reveal critical details about the upcoming "Jurassic World 2."
According to CrossMap, Christ Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are set to reprise their roles as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing, respectively in "Jurassic World 2." Their casting is already confirmed. Pratt is currently busy filming "Guardian of the Galaxy Vol. 2" but after it, he is set to return in "Jurassic World."
It's also confirmed that Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall will be producing the upcoming flick. For Colin Trevorrow' fans, this will be a bit of a sad news, the director will not be helming "Jurassic World 2".
However, the audience should not be dismayed because Trevorrow is not leaving the film for good. He will still be writing the sequel alongside Derek Conolly.
Although Trevorrow will not be taking the director's chair in "Jurassic World 2" he stressed that it will not be a usual sequel where the plot just takes the movie in a higher level. The director hinted that the sequel will be unique because fans have provided a platform how to take the film into the next level, Yibada has learned.
"I feel very strongly that it's not about more dinosaurs or bigger and better dinosaurs," Trevorrow said.
As for having another director to helm the sequel, he also shares his perspective about this. "Jurassic Park is like Star Wars. Different directors can give a different taste to each movie."
As for Pratt and Bryce Howard's return in the sequel, Trevorrow explained that both are somehow responsible for the incidences in the first film, so they are essential in the next film. However, the director pointed out that these characters will not stay where they were in the first franchise.
According to iDigitalTimes, "Jurassic World 2," unlike the first film, will no longer be a survival story where people can just simply leave the island to survive. It's a new world, where dinosaurs are a threat to every human in the planet.
More likely, the sequel will feature a dinosaur-hybrid-freak where humanity's dominance over the other species will be challenged. These dinosaurs with higher intelligence will not allow the people around them to contain them in a limited area, in "Jurassic World." This time, they will be roaming around and will make the whole world their territory.
Trevorrow hinted about this earlier, "Dinosaurs and man, separated by 65 million years of evolution, have been thrown back into the mix together. How can we know what to expect?"
Well, that's a tough question. However, one thing is certain, fans are expecting so much about the movie.
"Jurassic World 2" will hit the big screens on June 22, 2018.
