Analysia Beck found herself making an unplanned stop at a McDonald's parking lot when she realized she was about to give birth to her baby boy. The couple aptly nicknamed their newborn "McFlurry" in light of the unusual circumstances surrounding his arrival.
Beck, a resident of Muskego, went into labor late at night and woke up her husband, Daniel Beck, as the pain intensified. As they were en route to the hospital, Analysia realized the baby was coming sooner than expected, prompting the need for an immediate stop.
The couple decided to pull into the closest location, which happened to be a McDonald's parking lot. Ms. Beck's mother, who was following them, also joined them at the fast-food chain. She said that things escalated as soon as they got into the McDonald's parking lot on South 108th Street in Hales Corners. "We were just driving past, and it was the best place to pull over," Beck explained in an interview with TMJ4. Her husband humorously added, "I think it was just muscle memory from going there too much."
Once stopped, Analysia got out of the SUV and climbed into the trunk, where she was comforted by her husband. "Halfway through, I was just lying in our trunk, and I was like, 'Oh, my gosh. This is happening at McDonald's... I can't believe it'," she shared. The unexpected venue added a touch of peculiarity to an already unique situation.
Analysia's baby, who was about two weeks early, was already crowning by the time the first responders arrived at the scene. She said that she started pushing when she learned that the parademics were already there. She recounted that they run in to catch the baby. The baby was subsequently taken into an ambulance for a health check as a snowstorm hit the city of Muskego.
Meet "McFlurry": A Unique Nickname for a Unique Arrival
The baby, officially named Micah Daniel, has been affectionately nicknamed "McFlurry" by the couple. Beck shared that the baby's name can be shortened to Mickey D's but they've been calling him "McFlurry" because he earned that name. McFlurry is the a famouse McDonalds dessert with a combination of creamy vanilla soft serve with crunchy pieces of Oreo cookies.
While the circumstances were far from ideal, and the harsh weather added to the intensity of the situation, the couple expressed gratitude for their new addition. "It was chaotic and terrifying, but it ended up beautiful, and we have a perfect little boy," Beck said. The unexpected McDonald's birth has certainly given the family a memorable story to share about the arrival of their third child.
