The American Music Awards season is here, and this year's nominations are lead by Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and the Weeknd, according to a report from RollingStone.
The "Bad Blood" singer has six nominations under her belt (Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Favorite Female Artist — Pop/Rock, Favorite Album – Pop/Rock and Favorite Artist — Adult Contemporary).
Ed Sheeran follows with five nominations (Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Favorite Male Artist — Pop/Rock, Favorite Album – Pop/Rock and Favorite Artist — Adult Contemporary).
Not to be outdone, the Weeknd, who have catapulted to fame this year, also has five nominations (Artist of the Year, New Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Favorite Male Artist — Soul/R&B and Favorite Album — Soul/R&B).
The three will go head to head against each other to win Artist of the Year and Song of the Year. Other fan favorites who earned nods were Ariana Grande, One Direction, Maroon 5, Sam Smith, Nicki Minaj and Meghan Trainor.
According to PerezHilton, fans can vote once a day for each category on the AMA’s official website. Fans can also vote via Facebook and Twitter by making putting a hashtag on the category name and the AMAs. Below are some of the nominees.
