Authorities are presently seeking at least three assailants following the intended manslaughter of two teens at a Nashville apartment complex over the weekend.
One of the victims, recognized as 17-year-old Camron McGlothen, lived at the Hermitage Flats Apartments in East Nashville. The identification of the other casualty, an 18-year-old, has been concealed by authorities pending the announcement of his family.
Nashville Police Conducting Investigation into the Shooting Incident
The Nashville Police Department's Homicide Unit detectives are earnestly investigating the circumstances to confirm the reason behind the deadly gunfire of the two teens.
The double killing circumstances at roughly 4:45 p.m. local time on Saturday when three attackers, one of whom was wearing a ski mask, approached the casualty who was standing in a breezeway at the apartment complex and opened fire, as per police reports.
Both casualties sustained numerous gunshot injuries, according to law enforcement officials. Upon the arrival of police officers, the casualties were found seriously harmed and not responsive.
The 18-year-old casualty was pronounced dead at the location, while McGlothen was transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
Following the gunfire, the suspects reportedly escaped from the apartment complex, as declared by police. The inspection into the circumstances remains continuous as authorities persist in pursuing leads in their search for the manslayer.

Two Teens Dies from Shooting in Apartment Complex
Following gunfire circumstances at a Forestdale apartment complex on Monday night, two people, including a teenage boy, deadly lost their lives.
The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office reported that the circumstances happened on Chickasaw Drive, where the bodies of a 19-year-old and a 13-year-old were found inside a crashed vehicle.
Identified as 13-year-old Johnathan Keith Cottingham and 19-year-old Louis Craig IV by the Jefferson County Coroner, the loss of these young lives has deeply affected the community.
Joel Doniel, a resident of the apartment complex, expressed profound sadness at the premature deaths of these teenagers, emphasizing the tragedy of their youth.
Doniel recounted being at home with his wife when gunfire erupted, underscoring the fear of random violence in the area.
Nearby True Life Baptist Church's Pastor Steve Small also expressed sorrow over the incident, emphasizing the universality of such tragedies and the need for community support.
Although a third teenager reportedly escaped unharmed from the vehicle, the shooting remains under investigation.
Authorities suspect the victims were deliberately targeted and were acquainted with the shooter. Despite ongoing efforts, no arrests have been made yet.
Superintendent Dr. Walter Gonsoulin of Jefferson County Schools extended condolences, particularly mourning the loss of Johnathan Cottingham, a student at Minor Middle School, and urging swift justice for the perpetrator.
