Brother Surprises His Older Sister on Her Wedding Day

William Watson took leave to travel to American Fork, Utah, for his sister Helena Morgan's special day. Morgan originally thought her younger brother would not be able to show up at the wedding.

In a viral TikTok video, Morgan shared the heartening surprise of her baby brother getting 36 hours of leave to fly across the country and accompany her down the aisle, specifying the best day of her life with a remarkable surprise.

The emotional moment was captured as Watson walked into a hair salon, where Morgan sat holding Starbucks drinks. Astonished with joy at the sight of her brother, she gasped, covering her mouth and tearing up before sharing a fervent hug.

Reflecting on the situation, Morgan revealed that due to her belief that her brother couldn't show up, she had arranged for a cardboard cutout of him to be present at the ceremony.

Recalling the tender moment, she mentioned her brother's gesture of bringing Starbucks for Robyn, his fiancée, whom Morgan had expected to have DoorDash Starbucks.

Furthermore, Morgan shared another TikTok video displaying behind-the-scenes snapshots from her wedding day. She conveyed appreciation for her brother's support, mentioning how he helped her get ready and gave comforting encouragement before they walked down the aisle. She also recognized the presence and support of his fiancée throughout the day.

Dad Participates in Staged Wedding to Walk Her Daughter Down the Aisle

Ruthie Fonseca and her father, Julio, were extremely close, talking daily about their lives and family matters. Julio, a clinical psychologist from Puerto Rico, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in August 2018 following a family vacation, crushing Ruthie.

"The first thing that came to mind was fear. I couldn't imagine life without my dad, and in an instant, that changed," Ruthie, the owner and lead wedding content creator at Julious Daughters.

Julio underwent surgery shortly after his diagnosis on September 27, but doctors quickly discovered the cancer had spread.

Ruthie, who worked at a bridal salon, couldn't envision her wedding without her dad walking her down the aisle. Determined not to let cancer take that experience away, she planned a special photo shoot with him. With dresses borrowed from Justin Alexander and help from friends at Nuva Photography, they staged the shoot at Rollins College shortly before Christmas.

Ruthie wore her mom's wedding ring as her "something old" and was nervous, wanting the moment to be perfect. This shoot was the only time her dad would see her as a bride. Julio died five months later, on May 29, 2019.

Ruthie later shared a TikTok video of the shoot, which went vigorous, getting over 200,000 views and 1,000 comments. She elucidated that it was a way to honor her dad and wrestle with grief, hoping her experience might give hope and inspiration to others.

Despite being single, Ruthie believes her dad is still helping her find the right partner and plans to use the photos to honor him on her wedding day.
