One person could be seen performing chest compressions on Jorge N. near the pool area. The wife of the Texas man, Lizeth N., was quickly transported to a local hospital, where she was diagnosed with burns indicative of an electric shock.

She was later transferred to the United States for further treatment and remains in critical condition.

Community Support and Investigation

In the wake of the tragedy, friends of the couple launched a GoFundMe campaign to help cover the family's funeral and medical expenses.

The fundraiser, which has raised over $27,000 as of Thursday, June 13, described Jorge N. as having "a heart of gold" and highlighted the deep bond he shared with Lizeth N.
