A female from York County, Pennsylvania, has been indicted of abandoning her 3-year-old kid in a hot car for at least 15 minutes last weekend.

Samantha O'Brien, according to Hanover Borough Police Department, faces liabilities of imperiling the well-being of kids after the circumstances on Sunday on West Hanover Street.
Records signify that police answered to a home on West Hanover Street around 2 p.m. after getting reports of a child left neglected inside a car parked in a pathway. The caller notified law enforcement that the kid was unprotected from direct sunlight, with temperatures spanning between 80 and 90 degrees Fahrenheit that day.
Authorities declared that 33-year-old O'Brien left the kid neglected in the car for at least 15 minutes. Police discover O'Brien asleep on the bathroom floor inside the home. They noticed evidence of significant drunkness, including red eyes, impaired speech, and the odor of alcohol on her breath.
Court documents signified that police noticed O'Brien's behavior as not that of an interested parent, noticing that she did not ask about her kid until prompted by officers.
It remains ambiguous if the kid sustained any wounds. O'Brien was arrested into detention on Sunday and is currently jailed at York County Prison.

A mom from Hanover is indicted of liabilities for reportedly leaving her 3-year-old child in a hot car while she was "heavily intoxicated" and found asleep in a bathroom.
Officers were sent at 2:04 p.m. to a home on the first block of W. Hanover Street following reports of a child left neglected and secured inside a car parked in a pathway.
The caller notified police that the kid was in direct sunlight, with temperatures between 80 and 90 degrees.
According to the charging documents, both the front driver's door and the rear driver's door were open, and the car was parked "along a public alley accessible to anyone passing by, posing a significant risk of death or serious injury to the child."
The kid was reportedly neglected in the car for at least 15 minutes. Officers entered the house after getting no answer and supposedly found O'Brien asleep on the bathroom floor.
Police recorded that O'Brien showed manifestations of heavy intoxication, including bloodshot eyes, slurred and slowed speech, confusion, breath smelling of alcohol, and unsteadiness. She allegedly admitted to drinking.
According to charging documents, police noted that "the defendant's demeanor was not consistent with a concerned parent," and she did not inquire about her child until officers mentioned it.
The child's father reportedly told police that O'Brien was supposed to be responsible for the toddler that day.
