The Consumer Product Safety Commission emphasized the severity of the issue, noting that 35 injuries were burns caused by spilled hot liquids, while 21 were due to cuts from the glass mug breakage.
The affected mugs were marketed for use with hot beverages like coffee or tea.
Despite the intended use, the mugs proved to be unsafe, leading to this extensive recall. JoyJolt has advised consumers to stop using the recalled mugs immediately.
