Stars of the hit comedy TV series "The Big Bang Theory" have been featured in headlines because of an alleged "secret fling." The newly-single Kaley Cuoco, who is in the process of divorcing husband Ryan Sweeting, slammed rumors in the most adorable way.
On Wednesday, the 29-year-old actress denied she was involved with co-star and real life ex-boyfriend Johnny Galecki via na Instagram post. Sharing a black and white picture of herself sharing a chair with Johnny doing a friendly fistbump.
"So sorry to disappoint, but no home wreckers or secret flings going on here. Me and@sanctionedjohnnygaleckiare just the best of buds- Leonard and Penny will just have to suffice!!!," wrote the actress in the post containing a lot of heart emojis.
Galecki, on other hand, opted for a similar photo and wrote something a bit more concise and straight to the point. "No scandals / home wreckers / pregnancies here, y'all. Just profound friendship."
As of late, following the announcement that Kaley and Ryan were splitting, it's been rumored that the TV stars were secretly hooking up.
The stars play the characters of Penny and Leonard who are romantically involved in the hit CBS show. However, the couple were dated both on-screen and off-screen but ended the relationship in 2010 after dating for about two years.
"It was a wonderful relationship but we never spoke a word about it and never went anywhere together," Cuoco told CBS Watch! magazine back in 2010. "We were so protective of ourselves and the show and didn't want anything to ruin that."
"We couldn't do anything," she added during the interview, which was her first time to talk about it. "It wasn't as fun as we wanted it to be. Everyone was always asking, and we deny-deny-denied. ... It took a little bit of a toll on me and I think it did for him, too. Not that I want to go traipsing down a red carpet with anyone, but there's got to be a happy medium."
She also admitted that while she would have preferred to get it out in the open, she understood others who wanted to keep it under wraps. She revealed the break up happened over the holidays but since they were both in the profession since an early age, as professionals, they knew better than to bring it inside the set.
Cuoco and Sweeting were involved in what could be categorized as a whirlwind romance. After dating for a few months, they were engaged in September 2013 and tied the knot New Year's Eve of the same year. After 21 months together, the couple announced their split September 25.
