'The Voice' Judge Shakira Working To Get Back Her Pre-Baby Body

Fans were delighted when Latin superstar Shakira gave birth to her son, Milan Pique Mebarak ,on Jan. 22, and now the 36-year old singer is speaking out to ABC News about jugging her career with tending to her newborn and one day getting back her famous hips.

"I still have a long way to go," she told Fox News in an interview Wednesday night at House of Blues in West Hollywood, Calif., in reference to her post-baby body.

Though many fans would say Shakira looks stunning the way she is.

"I still have a few pounds over to lose," she said. "I look decent."

In terms of caring for Milan while working as a host on "The Voice" and making music, she takes things one day at a time.

"It's part of motherhood you know," she said. "You got to figure it out as you go."

Luckily the superstar has soccer star boyfriend Gerard Pique to help care for their son, and she says she loves being a mom.

"[Milan is] great. He's so mellow, but he's very alert too," she said. "It's like he knows what's going on around him. He knows when someone comes in the room or comes out. He's something."

"The Voice" host Carson Daly agrees, telling ABC News that Milan has become a welcome addition the kid-friendly TV show set, which even "features regular visits from Daly's young brood, [fellow judge] Usher's children and [fellow judge Adam] Levine's nephews." he said.

Shakira's baby-proofed trailer that was built specially for Milan as a "bull blown babey nursery," joking, "It's just like Shakira's door opens and 'It's a Small World' starts playing."

"It's really special and it's cool," he said. "We're like a little family."

Shakira pointed out that the children weren't the ones acting up, but rather her fellow judges, including Levine, Shelton and Usher.

"It's like a kindergarten because these guys are already babies," she said. "They're babies!"
