The remains of Dee Ann Warner, a 52-year-old mother of four from Tecumseh, Michigan, have been found on a property owned by her husband, Dale Warner, more than three years after she vanished. The Michigan State Police (MSP) confirmed the discovery on Wednesday, August 21.
Human Remains Identified as Dee Warner
"Today further investigation was conducted by the Jackson County Medical Examiners Office on the human remains that were found on Dale Warner's property," a statement shared on the MSP First District X account read. "The Jackson County Medical Examiner has positively identified the remains as Dee Warner."
The human remains were found inside a weather-worn, secluded barn off Paragon Road. The tank usually contains anhydrous ammonia for fertilizer. However, the tank was reportedly sealed shut, and a "do not use" sign was placed on it. However, the chemical was not seen inside the tank when the remains were found.
The MSP stated that investigators will continue to gather evidence and work with the Lenawee County Prosecutor's Office to ensure a conviction. Dale Warner's attorney, Mary Chartier, said that the latest update from the police is a "tragic turn of events" but does not change her client's position.

The MSP will continue investigating the case and working with the Lenawee County Prosecutor's Office to bring Dale Warner to justice. The trial is expected to take place in the coming months.
