Baby names are getting more and more unique in recent years. Many names now take inspiration from fast fashion and influencers to choose names for their children.

A recent report from Nameberry---which markets itself as the world's largest website devoted to baby names---forecasted the top baby name trends for 2025. The report, published last Thursday, included names that span a variety of topics.

Fast Fashion

First on the list are fast fashion names, which combine different styles to create original names. It can also point to names that parents modeled on a typical name with a unique twist. The report noted, however, that the fast fashion trend does not cover unique names such as Elon Musk's X Æ AXII.

Examples of fast fashion names include Banks, Scottlynn, Adael, Kollyns, Riven, and Wrenlee.

Global Americana

Following fast fashion is the global Americana trend, which points to names inspired by certain cultural or ethnic ties. This trend rose in popularity in 2016 and is more common in Democratic-voting states.

Examples of global Americana names include Chiara, Galilea, Ewan, Lachlan, Shai, and Xochitl.

Baby Names, Literally

This trend points to ideas that names should reflect the playfulness and youthfulness of babies. It also takes inspiration from the names of the children of notable influencers such as Jaci Marie Smith's daughter Benny.

In addition, this trend gives much importance to rhythm, per the report. First names should be partnered with single-syllable middle names. For example, Aero Lore.

Examples of names under this trend include Aqua, Blossom, Cyan, Echo, Gio, Lottie, Rook, Sonny, Suede, and Xavi.

Country Rebrand

Country Rebrand is a trend that focuses on the influences of Western Culture in the United States. However, it also now takes into account names from non-English backgrounds.

Examples include Abilene, Clover, Enoch, Harlan, Lou, Mabel, Tillie, and Waylon.

Safe Haven

The Safe Haven trend points to baby names that inspire peace and comfort. The report also noted that these names have "incantatory power" to protect children from harm.

Examples of names under the Safe Haven trend include Arcadia, Avalon, Callum, Dove, Jericho, Mecca, Rishi, Shalom, Shepherd, Trust, and Willow.
