The Canadian singer and songwriter Celine Dion is in a tough battle. Her husband Rene Angelil has been fighting a losing battle against throat cancer for almost two decades now, but the mom of three remains strong and hopeful.
Just recently, the "My Heart Will Go On" singer's son Rene Charles Angelil, 14, took a selfie with his mom in front of the Canadian hockey player Subban's red jersey. The mother and son were both holding up a peace sign.
Dion's eldest son was named after his husband Rene Angelil, E! Online notes. The report suggests that the photo was the first time, Dion's eldest son was seen since he was first introduced to the world as a child on the cover of Hello! Magazine, next to his celebrity mom.

Dion and the twins took a break from the rides for a photo shoot with Mickey in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle. The adorable photo features Dion as she kneels, next to her twins. The twins were wearing a matching outfit, but all three have the same Converse shoes.
It's great to see Celine and her sons in a happy disposition after a particularly tough year for the family. Celine's husband was first diagnosed with throat cancer in 1998 and after almost two decades, Rene Angelil, 73, is still battling with the same illness.
According to reports, the older ReneAngelil is in his final days. Dion returned to work, performing at The Colosseum in Las Vegas, four nights a week, which raised a few eyebrows. But according to Closer via Celeb Dirty Laundry Celine is just fulfilling her dying husband's wish.
Since, Celine gets back to work she dedicated her performances to her husband. In September, Rene even joined Celine's show via satellite video to say "hello" to Celine Dion's fans. Unfortunately, the said video chat might be Rene's last appearance to Celine's shows.
"If she had her way, she would not be performing, but René insisted," the insider said. "He believed that it was best to get Céline back to doing what she loves, and set the stage for the time when he is no longer here. I think René feared that Céline would hesitate to get back onstage after his passing."
We hope everything will be okay for Celine and her family.
