"Call of Duty" has been around for over 11 years and the gameplay has undergone several changes. The game's multiplayer aspect has been the main focus of the series. This feature has also gone through several revisions.
There were popular modes that were removed in the next franchise and some were brought back later in the game. The same case applies to "Gun Game" mode. For those who love this mode, this report will surely delight you, "Gun Game" mode is set to return in "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," Game Rant reports.
The report claims that "Gun Game" will be a standalone game mode, a smaller game mode and a dedicated playlist. With "Gun Game" being among the most popular multiplayer modes in the "Call of Duty" series and with "Black Ops 3" being among the most anticipated games in 2015, Treyarch will surely make fans get what they want.
David Vonderhaar, the Game Design Director of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" revealed that there will be no "One Shot" mode, but "the game does have a Gun Game, there is some one shot stuff going on in Gun Game."
He added that their team wanted to allow gamers to take the game and engine as they pleased. They want players to take the game rules and modify it according to their needs and make it accessible to all friends.
Meanwhile, to show how flexible the title is "Black Ops 3" comes with a mission unlocked feature where players need not complete the whole campaign to see the ending. Among the inspiration behind this is Netflix, which uploads TV series from back to end, all at once. The idea is fans who saw the ending are more likely to follow up and play the whole game afterward, according to Tech Times.
"It gives [players] the flexibility to consume the content how they want," Jason Blundell, the campaign director said. Blundell added that the standardized level system is an "archaic mentality" which is not appreciated by the contemporary gamers.
In a separate report from Game Rant, Vonderhaar disclosed that the story plot will be something gamers will understand easily, but there's a catch because it offers players the chance to experience a deep, dark narrative that may end into unexpected twists and surprises along the way.
That's quite a complex one.
"Call of Duty: Black Ops 3" will be released on Nov. 6, 2015 for PS4, PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC.
