The next time of the "Grand Theft Auto" series has been generating a lot of buzz. According to a source, Rockstar may have just revealed it's release date timeline.
A new video, which took fans by surprise, claimed to be official footage of the new Rockstar title. The alleged new "Grand Theft Auto 6" trailer circulated online a few days earlier and the fake trailer has since been slammed by online gaming outlets, reports The Christian Post. The video teased of a 2017 release date.
One YouTuber, MrBossFTW "noted that the trailer had significant low-level English compared to the real trailers released by Rockstar Games itself." It was also noted that there were a number of significant errors, including the misspelled "Rocstar."
Overall, other outlets analyzed the video to be a sub-par footage that doesn't compare to the trailer style typically produced and released by Rockstar Studios.
"GTA 6" Gameplay and Features
There is speculation, according to Latino Post (via Franchise Herald), that the sixth video installment could be offering job-like features, a first for the "GTA" series.
"The publication noted that the sixth installment of the hit car heist RPG could finally provide more money generating missions like 'having a job like joining the army or the police' because such missions 'will give a more real feeling in the game'." As it stands, the news remain a speculation as Rockstar Games has yet to reveal details for the anticpated "GTA 6" game.
"GTA 6" Release Date
As fans await the release of the next-generation title, The Latinos Post, along with a slew of other sources have reported that the high speed car chase game could be hitting the shelves sometime in 2018.
Per a much earlier report by IGN, Rockstar Games president Leslie Benzies revealed that a lot of ideas and plans were being vetted for the upcoming title. "We've got about 45 years worth of ideas we want to do. We don't know what GTA 6 will be, but we've got some ideas," said Benzies.
Speaking about the development process for conceiving games, "It comes from the idea first. Where is it going to be set is the first question. Then that defines the missions; you're doing different things in LA than in New York or Miami. The map and story get worked up together, and the story is a basic flow of how it works out so you can layer the missions in."
