The mystery surrounding the royal due date may finally be over.
According to reports from The Mail on Sunday, Kate Middleton will give birth to her first child with Prince William Saturday, July 13.
"Some of Kate and William's closest pals were at a barbecue hosted by a family friend of the Royals recently," one of the close friends of the royal couple, told The Mail. "They were all discussing the fact that Kate's baby is due to be born on July 13. Everyone was very excited."
The news has also brought in some concerns of the royal baby arriving in the midst of the Coronation Festival, organized to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of The Queen's Coronation. It will be held from July 11 to 14 2013 in the Gardens of Buckingham Palace.
"I had better not sing too many high notes . . . what if my singing made her go into labour?" opera singer Laura Wright, who will perform during the celebrations, told The Mail.
However, according to the reports, the due date may also be merely another rumor.
"We have only said that the Duchess is due in July. Anything further would be speculation," a spokesperson from the Palace added to The Mail.
Middleton met Prince William while studying Art History at the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. The couple started dating in 2002, got engaged in 2010 and tied the knot the following year. The royal couple confirmed expecting their first child in December 2012, when Middleton was admitted to hospital for experiencing a severe form of morning sickness known as Hyperemesis Gravidarum.
In January 2013, an official statement released by St. James' Palace confirmed the baby's due date to be in July. Interestingly, the baby will be arriving at the same month in which Prince William's mother Princess Diana was born (July 1). However, the exact date has not been released until now.
