Fans are very excited to watch the anticipated blockbuster film "Captain America: Civil War," while we are still six months away from the film's release date, expect to learn more details about the film. The latest scope we have is about another villain joining the "Civil War."
According to ComicBook.com, Daniel Bruhl is playing Baron Zemo in "Captain America: Civil War." However, comic fans may not recognize him because Bruhl's character will not be wearing his iconic reddish-pink hood.
While Bruhl was promoting his next film "Burnt" starring opposite Bradley Cooper, the actor told Business Insider that Zemo will show up without one of his trademark looks.
"He does not wear the mask," Bruhl said, referring to the popular purple cloak the character is famous for wearing after a vat of powerful adhesive, known as Adhesive X, spilled all over him during his encounter with the star-spangled superhero that prevented him from ever removing the cloak.
"You would be surprised, it's different than what you'd think," Bruhl said of his character in the upcoming "Civil War." "It's loosely connected to this character. But that's what I like about the Marvel guys, some of the characters and things they're dealing with always reference to current events so my character is from a different area than you would think."
Thus, for those looking forward to see the exact Zemo from the comics, come to life in the big screens, you'll be disappointed, but do not be dismayed because for sure Marvel has a reason why they altered Zemo's looks in the film "Captain America: Civil War."
In the comics, Baron Helmut Zemo is the son of Heinrich Zemo, the original adversary of Captain America. He revived his father's legacy when Captain America returned from his retirement. When the two encounter, Zemo fell into a boiling substance, the Adhesive X and from then on, he gets to wear his iconic mask, Press Examiner has learned.
Zemo is also associated with the "Fantastic Four" story and affiliated with the Masters of Evil who emerged during the Onslaught events. The Onslaught is a potential movie in the future that will feature the Avengers and Fantastic Four's disappearance from the face of the Earth.
For those wondering if Zemo will appear in Marvel's future movies, this is what Bruhl said, "There's a possibility. That's the way it's written."
Meanwhile, despite the dark setting of "Captain America: Civil War" expect to find a source of relief in Ant-Man and Falcon's encounter. In a separate report from Parent Herald, Anthony Mackie teases that Ant-Man and Falcon's relationship grows in "Civil War."
"Captain America: Civil War" will premiere on May 6, 2016.
