Fans of the "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" video game can attest to how exciting and challenging the game is. But, for those who don't know this yet, the title has more to offer than the full list of Phantom Pain missions previously reported.
Currently, "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" features 51 available missions. This may appear to be quite a lot, but 12 of the missions in the list are just repeat missions with a higher difficulty setting or additional challenges on the way, The Bitbag reports.
However, according to the report, there's a possible eight more missions for the PC version of the final game. A Reddit user datamined the PC version of the game and found out that the game has several missions, most of them is a replay, but there's a big reveal, the user found out that there are 8 completely missing missions Gaming Bolt reports.
"Now, I don't want to say that these missions are part from Chapter 3, but I found curious how in Chapter 2 we had 12 replay missions (most of them in AFGH) and now we have 10 unaccounted 10 replay missions (most of them in MAFR)," the user wrote. "Those 10 with the 8 completely missing missions and the FLYK one would give un a total of 19. Very close to Chapter 2, isn't it?"
For those who are interested in the mission details, the user uploaded it here. The data revealed several missions that have no data at all.
It's not confirmed if these missions will be a part of "Chapter 2: Revenge" or "Chapter 3: Peace." Well, let's see if Konami will introduce these missions via downloadable content (DLC) or if they will give it away as free missions.
According to Express, Konami is unlikely to comment on these discussions. They have already released a statement of sort informing fans that they have no plans on announcing any exciting new content for the title in the near future.
Konami mentioned that there's more to come for "Metal Gear" in the past, but it was not clear if the publisher meant the story campaign or the new multiplayer mode, Metal Gear Online.
Well, if a "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" expansion will be announced it will surely answer some of the gamers on-going questions concerning the game. But, until then players have to take the report with a grain of salt because the information were not verified yet.
Let's see how Konami will take this report from here, we hope they will take the time to explain the 8 unlisted missions and inform fans their plans for "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" in the future.
