The parents of the "19 Kids and Counting" family are reportedly seeking to strengthen their marriage following multiple scandals that have rocked the Duggar name.
The Duggar Family Facebook page has revealed that Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have attended a "marriage retreat" in Saint Paul Arkensas. The couple is spending some time together and are enjoying the "beautiful place, beautiful people and beautiful truths!" along with their daughter Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald.
The patriarch and matriarch of the Duggar family have been together for 31 years, reports Mail Online. Jim Bob, 50, and his wife Michelle, 49, revealed they were "having a special time at the www.fortrock.org marriage retreat in Saint Paul Arkansas on the edge of the Ozark National Forest!'
The couple went so far as to write a testimonial for the camp now up on its official website. After introducing themselves and sharing how they have seen the camp blossom into the camp and retreat center it is now. "If you are looking for a unique family camp experience, Fort Rock's various events offer not only a fun vacation, but also a safe Christian environment for your whole family to enjoy," wrote the Duggars.
They continued saying, "More than an Old West adventure, Fort Rock's camps are designed to draw families closer together, promote teamwork, and realize the value of each family member. If you're searching for an affordable getaway with your family, we highly recommend Fort Rock!"
Three-Decade Marriage on The Rocks?
However, Jobs & Hire have published that it may not seem as peachy as the couple would have their fans think. The retreat comes with a $275 per couple price tag and offers "Biblical solutions" to couples and families going through serious problems.
Earlier this year, Jim Bob and Michelle's eldest son Josh was admitted to a Christian rehab facility following his confession to adultery. The 31-year-old admitted to cheating on his wife Anna, with whom he shares four children. The confession follows the cancellation of their TLC show "19 Kids and Counting," after it was revealed that as a teen, Josh assaulted multiple underage girls, which included two of his sisters, Jill and Jessa.
The scandal played a big role in the cancellation of the family's reality show but it has been confirmed that a spin off will take place, this time featuring the lives of two recently married Duggar children, namely, Jill and Jessa.
The 22-year-old Jessa and her husband Ben, 20, are expecting their first child on Nov. 1, which happens to be the newlywed's first wedding anniversary.
