What would you do if the game “Red Dead Redemption” had a sequel? Rumors are moving around, spilling out some detail regarding the Rockstar-developed game, saying that it will probably come out by next year, and that there will be three playable characters.
According to CrossMap, Red Dead Redemption 2 will be available next year. A source for Cyberland said that should everything go smoothly for Rockstar, the game will be released by October 2016.
"My source says that Rockstar is currently finalizing their plans for GTAV and they are going to focus on RDR2 now. Rockstar expects the game to be out by October next year as long as the devs doesn't hit any road blocks during development. You hyped?"
Venture Capital Post reports that Rockstar is currently finalizing their plans for “GTA V,” and supposing that nothing goes wrong and delays the production, Red Dead Redemption 2 is expected to be out on October 2016.
According to our sister news site Latinos Health, Rockstar didn't “rush to make sequels.” Apparently, sequels don't appeal much to the developer, save for GTA.
CrossMap further reports that a Reddit user, AnonDN1978, leaked some details, saying that Rockstar has been working on the game for years, and has named it “Red Dead Redemption 2: Legends of the West.”
AnonDN1978 said that the game is going to be a prequel, but character John Marston will “not [be] a main part of the story line.” Sorry folks.
Yibada reports that the upcoming game will be available for PC consoles, and will include three characters based on GTA V: Irish, Seth, and another customizable character.
Irish grew up in Ireland, and in turning 21, he finds himself in America. Seth, on the other hand, grew up in Kansas, and is working in a bank. The two characters will meet in Tumbleweed, Texas, looking for hidden treasure.
According to CrossMap, the third character is someone players can create and customize, much like in GTA V's multiplayer. This character can be used during gang mode, a multiplayer game mode for Red Dead Redemption 2. Additionally, the third character will be available as a “gun for hire.”
Although these rumors might sound exciting to some, it is important to note that Rockstar hasn't confirmed the game's release as of now. It would be better to not let your hopes up.
