R&B singer Monica is pregnant.
This is the first child of the 32-year-old with husband, basketball player Shannon Brown. Monica broke the news by sharing a photo of her baby bump with her more than 1,709,970 followers on Twitter.
"Show time Chattanooga," she wrote May 11, a day before Mother's Day, showing off her baby bump.
The dad-to-be also came forward on Twitter to share his happiness. "Hallelujah!!! Thank God!!! Thank you Jesus!!! I'm so Blessed!!!" Brown wrote May 11, while sharing a snap of himself with his pregnant wife.
The new addition will be joining Monica's two children - Rocko (8), Romelo Montez (5) - and Brown's son Shannon Christopher.
Fans and well-wishers of the celebrity couple rushed forward to congratulate the duo on their new pregnancy status, with some of them expressing their wish for the couple to have a baby girl.
"Hope it's a girl she will be as pretty as her MOM@monicamylife," one of the comments read, while another one added: "Yay another baby I hope it's a girl."
The expecting star later thanked her well-wishers for their love and support: "Im overwhelmed at the tremendous amount of love my husband,family & I have received.Thank u guys So Much! Love u guys from the depths of my❤"
Monica, who started performing as a child, shot to fame with her debut studio album "Miss Thang", released in 1995. The couple, who started dating after appearing together in the music video "Love All Over Me" in 2010, tied the knot in November 2010.
Get ready to welcome more baby news from the couple, since during a chat with People magazine in 2012, Monica revealed her plans to have "two or three" children with Brown.
