Great news for players of “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt!” An upcoming patch that will bring changes, balances, and tweaks to the game will soon be available.
According to Gearnuke, CD Projekt Red's Community Lead Marcin Momot has already confirmed that the latest patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will bring changes to the game.
According to Momot, the patch will update the game to version 1.11, and bring balancing adjustments to difficulty levels for some of the boss battles in the Hearts of Stone expansion, which was released last week.
A time ago, The Witcher 3 had a major update that weighed more than 10 gigs, preceding the Hearts of Stone expansion. The expansion itself added new story content, worth more than 10 hours of gameplay. According to Geeksnack, the expansion included several new quests, new locations, features and more things that fans will surely have fun playing.
Some features included new bosses battles, like the Caretaker and the Toad Prince – battles wherein players will find themselves having a hard time winning.
In a thread on the CD Projekt RED forums, gamer ShinGnosis describes the Caretaker as “WAAAAAAAAY unbalanced.”
“I have mastercrafted full griffin gear, sign intensity 195%, level 35, use a lot of quen, beat imlerith on the second try, beat the toad prince on the first try, cannot beat the caretaker. His health just regenerates constantly (bug?). Then he summons dead souls or something and his health just regenerates even more. Impossible. Waaaaaaaay unbalanced.”
Apparently, CD Projekt RED didn't intend to make such boss battles as difficult as it is, and will try to change the difficulty settings through patch 1.11.
“I just asked around the studio and it turns out there will be some balancing changes to all of the boss encounters in HoS with patch 1.11,” wrote Momot in the CD Projekt RED's forum.
Only a few things are known about the upcoming patch's details. Another fix coming in the new patch is related to the missing Roach, and a fix for the disappearing horse's mane, both in the Hearts of Stone expansion.
Earlier reports said that a modkit for The Witcher 3 is going to receive some updates of its own, too. That update will be coming along patch 1.11 when it arrives.
The Witcher 3: Game Hunt is currently available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, in all regions. Hearts of Stone, the game's first expansion, is also available for purchase on all game formats.
