Many fans are looking forward for the third installment of the popular video game "Kingdom Hearts" series. "Kingdom Hearts 3" will mark the game's long-awaited return to its console roots after almost a decade of waiting. For those who want to know more about the upcoming game, here's the latest scope we have.
Multiplayer Gameplay
According to Design&Trend, last September, a Square Enix employee's LinkedIn profile mentioned about "multiplayer planning" for "Kingdom Hearts 3." Director Tetsuya Nomura seems to support the claim by teasing Dengeki PlayStation that "maybe something's going on" to bring multiple playable characters in the gameplay.
However, a multiplayer gameplay might be an advantage or disadvantage depending on how its options will be implemented. If "Kingdom Hearts 3" has a multiple playable characters it doesn't necessarily mean that these characters can be used in a multiplayer fashion.
For instance, the 2012's "Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep," tells the story from the perspective of the three main protagonists, but including Aqua and Ventus in a new story might just make things inappropriate given that playing these characters is far better off in a single-player campaign.
Sora and Roxas could be one and the same
According to MNR Daily, there's a big possibility that these two characters Sora and Roxas are one and the same. TheGamersJoint, posted a short clip highlighting the similarities of the two characters. From the designs of their hair, upper torso's outfit, to the pocket in their jacket. It stressed that the overall design of the two characters is quite similar.
Well, we don't know if there is a deeper meaning with their spectacular similarities. However, looking back at "Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance," the title features Sora absorbing Roxas into his body as well as the memories of his alter-ego. Did the said encounter influence their similarities?
More details will be revealed at D23 Expo
According to Dengeki a Japanese magazine as translated by Gematsu, when Nomura was asked about "Kingdom Hearts 3" latest news, the director said "We'll release the latest news at the November 3 Disney event 'D23.'"
Many are hoping to hear the title's release date on the said event.
Title might be available soon
In an earlier report from Parent Herald, there's a big possibility that the game will be out this December. Amazon has already listed the game on their site. However, fans should be taking this report with a grain of salt because it's also possible that Amazon is just taking pre-orders for the game or it could be nothing but just a placeholder.
"Kingdom Hearts 3" will be released on PS4 and Xbox One.
