'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' Release Date: Gameplay Trailer Released — Top 5 Things To Know

Activision has released the launch trailer for the highly-anticipated shooter “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3,” and it shows great detail!

According to PlayStation Lifestyle, a press release by the game company has revealed the trailer, two weeks ahead of the game's release.

Here are five things you need to know regarding the game and its new trailer.

1. "3-games-in-1" experience

According to Activision, the game offers a “3-games-in-1” experience, where players can enjoy playing an intense campaign cooperatively or solo; an upgraded Multiplayer mode featuring a “momentum-based chained movement system;” or the Treyarch signature zombie offering.

2. NFL's Marshall Lynch is in the trailer

According to Gamespot, Lynch plays a mercenary fighter in the game. While some celebrities have already lent their voices and likenesses to earlier COD games, none of them have it like Lynch – he's the first athlete to have his physical appearance injected in the game.

3. Bullets, bullets, and more bullets

According to VG247, bullets and flamethrowers “doing their thing” can be seen between gameplay scenes. This will excite trigger-happy gamers out there.

4. Shadows of Evil

This is a new zombie offering, where four characters are set in a film-noir inspired, 1940s Morg City, fending off against undead enemies. Characters include a female fighter, a magician, a detective, and a boxer.

5. Disclaimers

Sadly, according to a disclaimer that can be seen in the trailer, there's no campaign mode for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game, only multiplayer and zombie modes.

Here's the official statement from Activision, as seen in the PSLifestyle website:

Call of Duty: Black Ops III is the ultimate 3-games-in-1 experience. In Campaign mode, you must navigate the hot spots of a new Cold War to find your missing brothers. Players can play the campaign cooperatively or solo and are now always connected to the intelligence grid and their fellow operatives during battle. Multiplayer features a new momentum-based chained movement system, allowing players to fluidly move through the environment with finesse, using controlled thrust jumps, slides, and mantling. Black Ops III multiplayer also introduces the new Specialist character system, which allows players to master 9 characters’ battle-hardened weapons and abilities through a challenge-based unlock progression system. No Treyarch title would be complete without its signature Zombies offering. “Shadows of Evil” has its own distinct storyline right out of the box, set in the fictional 1940s Morg City, where four particularly troubled individuals – the femme fatale, the magician, the detective, and the boxer – star in this film-noir inspired horror story.”

What do you think? Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 releases November 6.
