Adele New Album: 'Hello' Singer Reconciles With Dad Marc Evans, Ends years Of Estrangement

As Adele's new song "Hello" hits the airwaves, reports reveal that the singer has reconciled with her estranged father.

According to The Sun, Adele's dad, Marc Evans, confirmed that he and his daughter have kissed and made up. "Adele and I are fine, it was a misunderstanding," Evans said. "We've patched things up, everything's fine, but I don't want to make further comment. We're fine."

Back in 2012, Adele apparently revealed in an interview that she would spit at her father if she would see him on the street. According to the Daily Mail, Evans walked out on his family when Adele was just a child and cited that this is probably the reason why her daughter has abandonment issues.

Learning of this, Adele reportedly became furious, according to Mirror. "He will never hear from me again. It makes me angry. To come back after 10 years and be like, 'Maybe her problem with me comes down to me,'" the "Rolling in the Deep" singer said. "It's like, 'How dare you comment on my life?'. It makes my blood boil."

But when her Marc was diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2013, he sought his daughter to ask for forgiveness. He also wanted to meet his grandson, Angelo, Adele's boy with partner Simon Konecki, whom she gave birth to in 2012. The Sun reported that the reconciliation happened with the help of Adele's mother, Rose.

"It was very difficult for them but it's lovely that they have been able to come through all those years of hurt. Marc is thrilled and doesn't want to do anything to jeopardize their relationship this time," the source said.

Adele's reunion with Marc comes as she is set to release her third album, "25", which she says is all about "making up for everything I ever did and never did," according to Sky News.

Fans have been waiting for years for Adele to release a new album, following the 2011 release of her Grammy-winning album "21." "I'm sorry it took so long, but you know, life happened," said Adele, according to Sky News. She, of course, was referring to the birth of Angelo.

Meanwhile, according to Billboard, "Hello" is steadily climbing U.S. digital sales following its release last Oct. 23 and it is expected to become a strong contender for Billboard's Hot 100. Adele previously had three songs in this coveted list, which are "Rolling in the Deep," "Someone Like You" and "Set Fire to the Rain."
