Many are excited to take a sneak peek of the first planet side battles in "Elite: Dangerous." For those fans that are eager to experience the title's planetary battle, there is no need to wonder how it looks; David Braben has released a 22-second trailer featuring this.
Check out the short video below.
The clip is short, but it is very lively and condensed. It is full of action that gives gamers a nice look of what to expect. Braben made use of the description box to explain what the short clip is all about, considering those who are not familiar with "Elite: Dangerous," yet.
"Here is this week's quick-and-dirty unedited video capture from the Planetary Landings update for Horizons (using the same dev machines as before) as we begin a raid on a surface base, using two SRVs and a ship. Still quite a few elements need work which I won't list here, but you can see there's been good progress since last week," he wrote.
According to Cinema Blend, the addition of planet-side combat has been a long time coming. Initially, the developers wanted to just get a basic exploration and questioning system centered on the space combat and they were able to pull it through.
"Elite: Dangerous" was released on Dec. 16, 2014. However, Frontier Developments is still working hard on updating the title by adding fresh content in the gameplay. The report suggests that the latest update of the game arrived earlier this month, last Oct. 6, where they brought a number of tweaks, bug fixes and a plug for a memory leak in which the game is suffering from.
The update for "Elite: Dangerous" paved way for them to include the new planetary elements, including the ground vehicles.
Meanwhile, for the space adventure of "Elite: Dangerous", are you aware that you could do something when you run out fuel in the midst of the adventure? Initially, one might think that the gamer has to wait until the last drop of fuel runs dry and his life support shuts down, but there is another option than that.
According to Now Gamer, there is a community of gamers known as "The Fuel Rats" who are dedicated to performing Deep Space Rescues. What makes it even more of a good news? The service is free of charge. There is a RatChat where the Fuel Rats checks if there are Ratsignal distress calls that need their support.
Fuel Rats will be a very great support for all the trolls and struggles every player will likely encounter in the game. What do you think of the Fuel Rats? Share your thoughts at the comment section below.
