"Persona 5" has been in production for five years now, but for fans who are eager to play the game the waiting will be longer as Altus announce a delay in the upcoming title's release date. But despite the game's delay, Katsura Hashino reveals that "Persona 5" will come with new features.
"Persona 5" will come with new modes including "Cooperation" where players can play together through a social link and "Sneak" which allow players to be in stealth mode, according to Gematsu. Some features from the previous installment will return such as "Lesson" and "All-Out-Attack." According to Venture Capital Post, "All-Out-Attack" features emerging characters that will attack downed players. The title will also feature some dungeons and a lot of challenges.
Earlier this year, Atlus has finally shared their progress with "Persona 5" and the team received an overwhelming response from fans who are very excited with the game, Gaming Bolt reports.
"It's been a massive outpouring and we're really happy to see people are into it as much as they are," Hashino said. "It's a huge relief to all of us on the team to have things turn out that way. Still, it's also indicative that the anticipation is running really high among people who have enjoyed our work up until now, so it's not without some pressure coming our way, too."
Game designer Shigenori Soejima disclosed that they received several compliments about "Persona 5's" being stylish. However, Soejima stressed that they did not get out of their way to make fans feel that their game is stylish, they just picked off where "Persona 4" left off. However, the designer said, "this style is ultimately a reflection of those efforts on our end."
Furthermore, they discuss that the game will be revolving on restraint and freedom. They recognized that gamers want to do something in the game that they can't actually execute for one reason or another. Hashimo thinks people take theif and heist stories well because they find it exciting and the thrill resonates among them in ways that they can't get out of other stuff.
"One of the goals in making Persona 5, then, is to give those people an outlet to explore those thrills and experience that sense of freedom that the protagonists themselves have within the context of a game," said Hashimo.
Meanwhile, fans who can't wait for "Persona 5's" release date will be disappointed with this report. According to Master Herald, the development team wants the title to be in its best form, thus the delay in its release date. "Persona 5" will be released within the middle of 2016.
"Persona 5" will be launched on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
