'Game Of Thrones' Season 6 Premiere Date May Be Delayed; Stark Family Spoilers Revealed [Rumors]

Bad news for "Game of Thrones" fans! As HBO unveiled its new schedule for February, it looks like the premiere of the show's sixth season will be pushed back to a later date.

According to Entertainment Weekly, there's a "TV scheduling domino effect" happening after HBO announced that it will be debuting its new high-profile drama series "Vinyl" on Feb. 14. The Martin Scorsese show will be launched along with HBO's comedy series, "Girls" and "Togetherness," but nothing was yet announced for "Game of Thrones."

The news outlet speculates that instead of the usual March or early April premiere date, "Game of Thrones" might begin Season 6 by mid-April, along with other HBO comedies like "Silicon Valley" or "Veep." Worse, it could be pushed back further to culminate during the summer season. Would the wait be worth it?

Various sources including Screen Crush estimate that from an April 2016 premiere date, we could be seeing a push that will take the series launch to the next month, May 2016.

Stark Family Spoilers

As fans anticipate the show's return, major spoilers keep making its way online. Most recently, iO9 noted that it looks like "Game of Thrones" Season 6 will be veering off from the stories in the book series specifically because the show is already way ahead of the book releases.

Those following spoilers and updates surely haven't missed the news that Kit Harrington (Jon Snow) is back on the set, and there have been speculations of a possible reunion with Sansa, Jon Snow's sister, according to Watchers on The Wall.

Sophie Turner (Sansa), was allegedly spotted on the set where, not far off, Harrington and other extras are filming a battle scene. It's also possible this will be the season fans should be saying goodbye to Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon), Sansa's husband. Whether that's good news or not, it's certainly something that avid viewers will be eager to watch when the season is back.

This season will also be heavy on the flashbacks, as iO9 further reported, particularly because the show will be exploring much of Jon Snow's past, and his childhood will be made much more clearer to viewer this time around.

As for the other Starks, Arya (Maisie Williams) might be venturing into Riverlands in Season 6 for reasons that are still unclear, according to BGR. But also hinted to be present in the same area is Lady Stoneheart, who is the "zombiefied" version of the Stark matriarch, Catelyn (Michelle Fairley), according to Huffington Post.

Catelyn was killed off in Season 3 on the TV show, but she was revived in the books as a different being. It's not certain Fairley will return to the show, should Lady Stoneheart indeed make her appearance.
