'Thor: Ragnarok' Trailer & Cast: Mark Ruffalo Reveals Film Will Be A 'Buddy Picture'; Actor Teases Hulk-Thor Combat

Many fans are looking forward to seeing Thor and the Hulk on the big screens again. However, the waiting will be a bit longer because both superheroes will not appear in "Captain America: Civil War" yet fans should not be disappointed because the pair will be featured in "Thor: Ragnarok."

"Thor: Ragnarok" will explore the relationship between the green smashing monster and the God of Thunders. It will dig the friendship between Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) and Thor (Chris Hemsworth), no wonder Ruffalo described the film as "a buddy picture" according to Slash Film.

"I don't really know that much about it, but I think it's going to be a buddy picture with Thor and Bruce Banner," Ruffalo told the New York Daily News while promoting his new movie "Spotlight."

Although "Thor: Ragnarok" will feature the two superheroes' friendship, they will probably come to blows to satisfy their fans just like Captain America vs. Iron Man and Batman vs. Superman. Hulk and Thor will probably find themselves at odds. "I think they'll probably fight," Ruffalo said. "There's no doubt, everyone wants us to fight at one point."

In the first Avengers, Hulk and Thor were already at odds and both were in a combat against each other. Watch the clip below.

In another scene, the duo were fighting side by side and while they appear to be an effective pair after hitting their enemies altogether, Hulk was still filled with adrenaline and seems to be looking for another fight as he simply punched Thor with his left arm.

"I know that it's about (the Norse legends of) 'Ragnarok,' or the end times in the Marvel universe as it pertains to Thor - which seems to be quite the theme these days in movies," Ruffalo added.

In Viking lore, "Ragnarok" refers to a series of events that leads to the demise of the titular superhero and many other Norse gods. However, it seems that Thor will survive the battle as he is still expected to bring his powerful hammer to the two-part "Avengers: Infinity War."

In an earlier report from Parent Herald, Ragnarok is a significant figure in the "Civil War" comics because he was the first one to kill one anti-registration superhero, Goliath in the midst of the conflict between the two factions. The said action left both parties desolate and started the tone of the war.

"Thor: Ragnarok" will hit the big screens on Nov. 3, 2017. For Marvel fans who wanted to see the rest of the Avengers soon, "Captain America: Civil War" will premiere on May 6, 2016.
