The "Mr. & Mrs. Smith" stars Angelina Jolie and Bradd Pitt are plagued with divorce rumors, but it seems that both are committed to making their marriage work. New reports claimed that the power couple's relationship is far from the rocky marriage previously reported.
The pair is promoting their upcoming film "By the Sea," which was written and directed by Jolie herself. Daily Mail Online reported that the film features a couple whose marriage hits the rock bottom and Jolie and Pitt are to play those characters.
Many were concerned that the film is inspired from their relationship, but Jolie is quick enough to deny those speculations. "I'm counting on the audience to know that if it was close to us at all, we could never make this film," said the actress. "It's because we're actually very, very stable and these aren't our issues."
Jolie, 43, admitted earlier that they have their issues but it does not guarantee that their marriage is the same as what is in the film. In fact, she was confident that her choices are supported by her husband especially when she opted to undergo surgery to remove her ovaries to reduce her risk of developing genetic ovarian and breast cancer.
"I knew through the surgeries that he was on my side and that this wasn't something where I was going to feel less of a woman because my husband wasn't going to let that happen," Jolie told Realty Today.
Meanwhile, Brad, 51, is as committed as Jolie in keeping their family intact. "Whatever's got to be done to keep the family together, and keep the family together as long as possible is going to be done," he said.
Couple's New Movie
On the other hand, a new trailer of "By the Sea" has been released. Digital Trends shared that the first trailer was a restless spot as it featured a lot of crying, drinking, smoking, and spousal abuse and the second is just like it.
The new trailer showed Brad sitting by the beach on a rocky shore while Angelina is on her own smoking in what appears to be a lifeless home. The sound track of the trailer was filled with loneliness that seems to suggest the painful ordeal that the couple is going through.
The report suggested that the setting was on the rocky coast of Gozo, a tiny island of Malta with only 31,000 residents. The film seemed to take advantage of the picturesque location to send the message that "no matter how perfect things may look on the surface, they can be seriously ugly and mangled beneath it."
Check out the new trailer below. "By the Sea" will premiere on Nov. 13, 2015.
