It may just be a haircut, but fans of "Spider-man" got pretty excited to see that the show's lead actor, Tom Holland, has changed his looks to resemble the webbed one.
Holland posted a photo of himself with his new haircut on his Instagram account right after Halloween and fans could not help but react that he looks a lot like the way Peter Parker looks in the comic book series.
"Finally he looks like Peter Parker," said one commenter on the social site." You weren't my spider man but dudeeee you are now," remarked another. "Dude you look spot on. That is Peter Parker if ever I saw him!" a fan also said.
Here are some details known so far based on latest "Spider-man" developments:
1) Cinema Blend stated that Holland's new hair is actually similar to the Peter Parker from the Ultimate stories, specifically in the scenes where he confronted Miles Morales. Incidentally, it was announced over the summer that the character of Miles Morales will be part of Marvel's Cinematic Universe, New York Daily News shared, so fans are speculating on the plot line to the upcoming movie based on this haircut alone.
2) The studio is still not giving any hints as to what the story of the new "Spider-man" movie and it may be while before more details come out as the film isn't going to be in theaters until July 2017.
3) However, fans will be getting a first glimpse of Holland as Peter Parker in the "Captain America: Civil War" when that hits theaters in March 2016. The webbed character is expected to swing by for a cameo, but he shot his scenes months before getting this haircut.
4) Screen Rant shared that Holland has also started to get buffed for the part aside from getting the haircut. He's already getting more muscle tones and developing a gymnast physique to be able to better perform his sprightly character. He needs to keep fit to avoid injuring himself, as what happened when he was filming "Captain America," IGN reported.
5) Former "Spider-man" director Sam Raimi admitted that he "messed up" doing "Spider-man 3" with Tobey Maguire. Speaking to The Week, the director owned up to his mistakes and made a comment about the upcoming reboot. "I think they're so complete now, Marvel. They probably don't need me anymore. But if they needed me? I'd love to. It's great to be wanted," he told the news outlet. But Marvel has already tapped Jon Watts to direct Holland in the new "Spider-man," Entertainment Weekly reported.
