“Clash Of Clans” developer Supercell responded to fans' complaints of not living up to the hype they wrongly expected during the ClashCon 2015 event.
According to Touch Arcade, a part of the COC community felt that the ClashCon gathering didn't deliver on the hype that they had, believing that details regarding the huge update that is coming will be released on that day.
A certain Supercell staff named Anoushka said that this “hype” was never made by the game company. He said that the dev “never hyped and promoted ClashCon as the 'event where we (Supercell) would make a big announcement.'”
He added that the ClashCon held October 24, 2015, was intended to be a gathering, “the first of its kind, bringing together Clashers from different countries, War tournaments, workshops, swag, merchandise etc.”
Some disappointed COC players felt that the update favored high-level players only. Anoushka said it may not affect everyone equally, but will certainly bring changes in both attack and defense, making it a game changer in a way, although not in the way that everybody expected initially.
Neurogadget reports that rumors are saying the update will be rolling out sometime this month. Taking three years for the game to get it, this will be one of the biggest updates that COC will receive to date, larger than the smaller updates that players have received.
First major detail is that there will now be a new Town Hall level. The Town Hall level 11 will be white in color, and will look like it has an open top.
A new defensive structure that looks like an eagle is also added. It measures 4 x 4 square meters, and has a very long firing range.
The map size is also expanded to 44 x 44 square meters, giving players more maneuvering space.
A third new hero is also coming, although details are scarce as of the moment. It seems to be a mage (with its silhouette looking like it holds a staff), and will cost a whopping 6,000,000 elixir.
A new defensive troop is also reportedly coming, costing 1,250 elixir to train. A 4th dark spell is also rumored to be in the works, along with some new quests and new maps for the single player mode.
Anoushka didn't give an actual date of release regarding the update, but rumor has it that it will arrive on November 11, or November 12, 2015. For now, watch the gameplay video.
